Frances's Lindsay POUSSET/Louis THAURON skated off with the gold medal while two Russian teams finished second and third: Eva KHACHATURYAN / Igor EREMENKO vaulted from fifth place to take the silver and Irina CHUTKO/Petr PALEEV claimed the bronze.
The French team totaled 70.20 points and overtook Khachaturyan/Eremenko (66.43) to earn the gold. The russian couple Chutko/Paleev turned in a passionate routine and impressed the crowd by difficult lifts and smooth footwork.
The first german team Leah-Magdalena Steffan / Benjamin Steffan came in 5th. NRW couple Dana Wehner/Tim Dieck turned in a charming performance and entertained the crowd dancing to rock`n roll rhythms. Overall they racked up 53.07 points and came in 11th.

Pernelle Carron/Llloyd Jones of France won the Short Dance ahead of Germany`s Nailya Zhiganshina/Alexander Gaszi Charlene Guignard/Marco Fabri of Italy. Pernelle Carron/Lloyd Jones put out a strong performance and scored 58,49 points. Nailya Zhiganshina/Alexander Gaszi entertained the crowd with a humorous programm. It was kind of extraordinary and they earned 55,20 points. The second german couple Tanja Kolbe/Stefano Caruso came in 8th. Tanja stumbled once which leads to deductions. But there is still a lot of room for improvement for Tanja and Stefano who dance together for a short time.

Russias's Tatyana Baturinecva /Sergey Mozgov won the Junior Short Dance. Tiffany Zahorski / Alexis Miart of France came second and Valeriya Loseva / Denis Lunin of Russia are currently ranked third. Tatyana Baturinecva /Sergey Mozgov put out an elegant performance which was highlighted by smooth footwork and excellent twizzles. They collected 54,28 points. Zahorski and Miart picked up 53,25 points performing to french waltz music. Valeriya Loseva / Denis Lunin from Russica scored 47,92 points The first NRW couple Dominique Dieck came in sixth after a flawlessy performance and captured 44,22 points. Shari Koch and Christian Nüchtern got a bad break; One of the lifts looked a bit wobbly and Shari fell on the ice. But nevertheless the captured a strong 7th rank.
Kathrin Häuser /Sevan Lerche are currently ranked 14th. Unfortunately Sevan stumbled while doing a twizzle. Anika Vogel und Bennet Preis came in 20th

The NRW couples Dominique Dieck / Michael Zenkner and Shari Koch / Christian Nüchtern are on a good way to finish the Junior category with a good result. After the short dance Dominique and Michael are currently ranked third after they delivered a dynamic program without mistakes. Dominique said " The ambiance at the skating rink in Dortmund is great. We are just very happy with our skating and we hope to do the same thing tomorrow".
The second NRW couple Shari Koch and Christian Nüchtern is currently ranked fourth. Since 2010 there are new rules for the junior and senior catgory. The pattern dances had been replaced by a short dance which leads to more variations between the performances of the participants.

Polina Gorlov / Eduard Vishnjakov are the only participants in category basic novice. They are sure to gain the gold medal, but want to convince judges and audience with their perfomances as well.

After the Tango we do have a new leader in the Advanced Novice Category. Eva Khachaturyan / Igor Eremenko put out a solid programm and scored 13,21 p. Lindsay Pousset and Louis Thauron from France (13,03) are currently ranked second and Russias Yulia Dolghik / Alexander Prachanov came in third.

Loreen Geiler and Sven Miersch from Germany are ranked 5th. The NRW couple Dana Wehner / Tim Dieck gave a strong debut in their first ice dancing competition and are currently ranked fifth. They dance together since 4 weeks and are very happy about their debut but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Tim told his coach Vitali Schulz, that Dana`s hands were trembling when they stood on they ice waiting for their music. See all results here.

Here they are. Please have a look at the result after the European Waltz. Sofya Polishcluk and Alexander Vakhnov are still ranked first with a score of 11.95. But there`s a change concerning the second place. Valeria Stepanova / Artur Gruzdev of Estonia edged out Russians Ksenia Konkina / Georgy Reviya by 0.01 points to capture the second place.

Today the category "basic novice" opened the ice dancing competion. NRW`s ice dancing coach Vitali Schulz reported about a high level competition with many strong and beautiful performances. The results are online now. Five russian paris are in front. Sofya POLISHCLUK / Alexander VAKHNOV grabbed they lead, followed by Eva ZAPOROZHSKYA / Alexander BALYKOV and Ksenia KONKINA / Georgy REVIYA. We hope to get the results of the European Waltz as soons as possible
